Dr. Jay Chason received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University College of Dentistry.

He served his internship at The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. Subsequent to this training,

Dr. Chason was accepted to a Residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Maryland Medical

System. This program included training at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, The University of Mayland Medical Center

and The R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center where Dr. Chason served as Chief Resident .

 

Dr. Chason is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a Fellow of the American

Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and  Past President of The Maryland Society of Oral and

Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is a member of The American Dental Association, the Maryland State Dental Society

and the Carroll County Dental Society, where he served as President.

 

Dr. Chason is the Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dentistry at The Carroll Hospital

Center in Westminster. He also holds hospital privileges at The University of Maryland Medical Center and The

Greater Baltimore Medical Center.

 

Dr.Chason started his practice in 1992 and since that time he has continued his certification in Advanced Cardiac

Life Support and Laser Surgery. He has also supported many community health organizations by donating his time and surgical expertise to provide care for disadvantaged patients with special needs through the Mission of

Mercy, The Helping Up Mission, Access Carroll, Change, The Arc, Target, and  The Carroll County Health Dept.

where he has been awarded multiple certificates of appreciation for his continued support.

 

Dr. Chason also spear-headed a campaign in Maryland to enlist other Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons to join the

Donated Dental Services program of Maryland while he was President of The Maryland Society of  Oral and

Maxillofacial Surgeons.

 

He continues to enhance his education and surgical training by participating in multiple courses, seminars, and

conferences in order to provide the highest standard of care to the community.
